According to a press release from producers, Spectre is just the third Bond film chosen as a RFP since 1946.
The CTBF, which provides care and support to those who have worked behind the scenes in the U.K.’s film, cinema and television industries, has been running its Royal Film Performances since 1946, when it screened the David Niven-starring A Matter of Life and Death.
The CTBF revealed that “Spectre” was selected as the charity’s Royal Film Performance and it will be screening at The Royal Albert Hall in London.
Founded in 1924, the Cinema and Television Benevolent Fund assists more than 1,000 beneficiaries and their families every year through donations, membership subscriptions, the sale of grand draw tickets and money raised from events like The Royal Film Performance. Joining the star-studded cast on the red carpet will be director Sam Mendes and producers Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli, vice-patrons of the CTBF.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry will grace the world premiere of Spectre with their Royal presence. Following the world premiere, the film will begin its roll-out in cinemas around the world.
