Google has already issued invitations to a September 29th event in San Francisco, where the official announcements of the new Nexus phones seem all but inevitable.



Huawei and LG will be reportedly building the new Nexus devices for 2015. That and maybe hear more speculations and spread rumors that could be true like the two new Nexus phones’ names. Google (NASDAQ:GOOGL) has not confirmed or denied the rumors but Cnet reports that close sources have hinted that the Nexus 2015 flagship phones will have two different sizes.

Previous leaks have given people a glimpse of what to expect from the LG Nexus 5X.

Meanwhile, the Nexus 6P is slated to have a Quad HD display covering those 5.7in, with a rumoured Snapdragon 820 chip within, a 21-megapixel camera, and USB Type-C. Under the hood it will have a hexa-core Snapdragon 808 processor and will be available in 32GB for US$349 (about AU) and 64GB for US$399 (about AU). The model, expected to be made by Huawei, is expected to have the larger memory, rather than just opting for the 32GB and 64GB versions.

The Huawei Nexus 6P is said to come with a 5.7-inch AMOLED display with a 2K (2,560 x 1,440) resolution.

After it was found out that the upcoming Nexus duo of smartphones are going to be called Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P, we have some more information regarding the hardware specification of Nexus 6P.

Google is likely to provide a microSD card slot in the Nexus 6P, along with option for storing data on the cloud using its cloud services.

Google will also likely unveil a new version of the Chromecast HDMI dongle and also an accessory for its “Cast for Audio” platform. The two new Nexus phones are expected to be the first to have the operating system installed out of the box.

As far as the new OS is concerned, Android 6.0 Marshmallow will be all about fine-tuning, stability and performance enhancements over Lollipop.
