JONESBORO, Ark. (AP) – James Tabary had three touchdown passes Saturday night as Arkansas State routed Missouri State 70-7.



“We challenged them all week long to bring the same energy that we had the first two weeks”, Anderson said.

Dave Steckel’s defense allowed 624 total yards in the game, including 344 on the ground. Johnston White ran for a career-best three touchdowns: a 56-yard touchdown, and scores from the 1 and 3. ASU gained 353 yards in the first half as it scored touchdowns on five of its nine offensive possessions and also got a 44-yard interception return from linebacker Khari Lain. Missouri remains undefeated on the season, while UConn fell to 2-1.

It was the Red Wolves’ turn to deliver some blows on Saturday night.

Tabary would then connect with Sterling Stowers from 3 yards out with 6:30 to play in the quarter. Logan Moragne added a 54-yard touchdown run to cap the scoring for the Red Wolves. Missouri State quarterback Brodie Lambert threw for 162 yards and was picked off three times.

Arkansas State now travels to Toledo for a rematch of the 2015 GoDaddy Bowl. Kickoff is slated for 6 p.m., and will be featured on ESPN3.
