John Stamos finally broke his silence on his recent trip to rehab and says he’s feeling better than ever.
After facing an undeniably hard past few months, John Stamos has now opened up about the trials and tribulations in his personal life.
He shared his grief with Details magazine and said that he had a tough year when he saw his mother dying and her passing away was a big turning point in his life.
Having been through it and coming out the other end, he admitted, “I feel better than I’ve felt in a decade”. It’s not as much fun, but you have to be responsible.
“I’m trying. I swear to God I’m trying”, he said when asked if he’s still struggling with maturity.
For the past six years or so, he said he hasn’t worked a lot and that much time off can be “dangerous” for him. “It’s about discipline, which I lost for a while”.
The 52-year-old “Full House” star went on to explain that he’s always had a hard time acting his own age. Though he managed to get some high-profile assignments such as a few episodes in “Glee” or a “Super Bowl’ commercial, there were lot of times when he did not have any work and that was indeed unsafe for him and his state of mind”.
“I can’t wait to get to work in the morning”, he recently told Entertainment Weekly”.
He also acknowledges that he’s long since gotten over his resistance to forever being Uncle Jesse: “I’m happy to lean into it now”. The actor has pulled double duty with shooting revival “Fuller House” and Fox’s new season sitcom “Grandfathered”, which he co-stars with Josh Peck of Nickelodeon fame. And I hope people see that. “Like Howard Stern and Jimmy Kimmel – they don’t want to hear that I’ve only slept with one girl in the past year !” “Fuller House” will debut on Netflix in 2016.
