After months of leaked information and images surrounding Google’s upcoming LG Nexus 5X and the Huawei Nexus 6, news has emerged the first smartphone will be officially introduced by September 29. However, we have just stumbled upon the latest benchmarking leak of the smartphone, which states that it has one crucial feature not present in any device as yet.

A new report now suggests that Huawei-made flagship Nexus 6 will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor coupled with 3GB RAM. The Nexus 6 is going to be a big deal for Huawei Technology Co. Phone Arena claims that Angler is the codename of the purported Nexus smartphone from Huawei.

The model ran on the Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Potentially a sequel to the very popular Nexus 5, the 2015 version may see the Nexus brand return to its roots – boasting a strong specification, a low price, and the very latest build of Android.

Unlike the LG Nexus 5X which is said to pack a 5.2-inch FHD display, Huawei Nexus 6 sports a much larger 6-inch capacitive touchscreen display, though the resolution supported is unknown for the moment.

The smartphone will feature front-facing speakers, and a fingerprint scanner on the rear of the device, and sport a 13MP main camera, as well as a 4MP selfie shooter.

The Huawei Nexus 6 and the LG Nexus 5X are set to be unveiled on September 29 at Google’s media event in San Francisco. But given Google’s penchant for naming its Nexus devices after aquatic creatures, and the device’s Android 6.0 operating system, it is pretty much in the books.

We’ll find out more in around two weeks hopefully when/if Google announces the phones to the public, until then keep that grain of salt handy for this one. Now a GeekBench sighting might be giving eager Nexus fans something new to worry about: performance.

In a couple of weeks, Google will unveil its 2015 lineup of Nexus devices.
