The average price for a gallon of regular unleaded gas in Georgia was $2.13 as of Sunday, $1.16 less than a year ago.



If Central Texas residents thought gas prices couldn’t go any lower, they should think again. “Prices at the pump are typically at their lowest during the fall and winter seasons, because fewer Americans take extended road trips, leading to declines in demand”.

Gas prices in Maine have fallen almost 4 cents per gallon in the past week. Almost one in four stations is now selling gasoline under $2 per gallon, and it looks like that should only grow in the weeks ahead. “I continue to believe that the national average will fall under $2 per gallon, perhaps even sooner than expected”, DeHaan said.

AAA Mid-Atlantic says the average price of a gallon of regular gas in the state on Friday was $2.04, down 7 cents from last week.

National gas prices remain much cheaper than previous year due to the relatively low price of crude oil”, AAA said in its news release Thursday.

Gas prices continue to drop after a refinery shutdown caused a spike last month.
