Tracy Morgan made a surprise appearance at the Emmy Awards last night (09.20.15).

The disastrous highway accident in June 2014 left him severely injured and claimed the life of his friend, comedian James “Jimmy Mack” McNair.

“Thank you so much”, Morgan told the crowd boisterously cheering his return. The pay cable network won 14 awards Sunday night, with “Game of Thrones” named best drama, “Veep” best comedy and the miniseries “Olive Kitteridge” best limited series.

For this year’s Emmys, all references to mini-series were changed to limited series, which is defined as a program with two or more episodes with a total running time of at least 150 minutes that tells a complete, non-recurring story and does not have an on-going storyline and/or main characters in subsequent seasons. My publicist said maybe you should let Hollywood welcome you back home. He then slipped back into the Morgan we know in the next breath, saying, “I’ve suffered a traumatic brain injury that put me in a coma for eight days”.

He even brought some humor to the otherwise very serious situation: “When I finally regained consciousness, I was ecstatic to learn I wasn’t the one who messed up”. “Which means a whole lot of women are gonna get pregnant at the after-party”, he said to laughter and applause. So I wanted to be like my father.

Morgan said that sitting in the hospital, part of his therapy was watching his friends appear on television and to work towards being there one day too. He Wednesday his fiancee, Megan Wollover, in Cresskill, N.J., on August. 23. I’ll get back to making you laugh.

“I’d like to dedicate my performance and this award to the transgender community….” So with that air of positivity, America has been so welcoming to the Brits on this show, thank you’. “I hope the the thing that happened to me can be prevented now-from people just dying on the road”.
