Michael Fassbender is compelling in his titular role in “Steve Jobs” in the new trailer of the biopic. Steve Jobs will be released October 23 and is directed by Danny Boyle. Its United Kingdom premiere will form the closing gala event for the London Film Festival, with stars and director attending.



Apple CEO Tim Cook says predecessor Steve Jobs was “an awesome human being” on Late Night with Stephen Colbert. Wozniak was a consultant on the film.

Steven Wozniak has spoken positively about this biopic, however, telling Deadline recently: “I saw a rough cut and I felt like I was actually watching Steve Jobs“.

Universal unveiled the new Steve Jobs trailer on YouTube. Jeff Daniels is Apple CEO John Sculley, who was brought to Apple by Jobs before the two became locked in a power struggle.

“This movie does a good job with accuracy of issues, even if all the scenes with myself or Andy Hertzfeld talking to Jobs never happened at all”. In this case the filmmakers have done an award-winning job. “The acting was just so realistic”, he told the BBC. There are still a lot of movies between now and the end of December, so it may be early to rush to any judgment, but Steve Jobs at the very least looks like a contender. On shows like The West Wing or The Newsroom, Sorkin’s unyielding wordiness threatens to bog down the dialogue, but the same verbal spitfire dropping from the mouth of Steve Jobs seems to take flight.

“What if the computer was a lovely object, something you want to look at and have in your home?” He solved things other people could not. “He had this uncanny ability to see around the corner and describe a future – not an evolutionary future but a revolutionary future”.

He also questioned the motives of the filmmakers.
