Kansas City police said the person who died was 46-year-old Royce Jeffries of Kansas City.



Jeffries was 46 years old, and played at OSU from 1986 to 1990, where he averaged 9.1 points and 4.1 rebounds a game.

Jeffries was working security at Bob’s Bar and Grill when a fight broke out early Sunday morning.

One person was killed and two others were injured in a shooting in Kansas City early Sunday.

The incidents occurred about 12:30 a.m. near 57th Street and Troost Avenue. Two other people suffered non-life threatening gunshot wounds.

Police say there was a disturbance at the bar, and employees were getting people involved outside when the suspect started shooting.
