Pakistan’s Twenty20 global captain Shahid Afridi feels his country’s cricket board should not push for a bilateral series against India if they are not keen to play. Cricketing ties between the countries have been snapped by border and political tension. “There are different groups as properly so we must be specializing in reviving our own residence grounds”. “It isn’t possible that we invite foreigners and they do not come”.

“Wherever you play cricket you need to be mentally strong for it. If you are mentally strong then you can play cricket anywhere in world, therefore I believe I am ready to play global cricket”. “We are still happy”, he added.

People of both the countries want to watch Pakistan-India contests because it’s a series bigger than the Ashes played between Australia and England.

He added: “We are waiting to get permission from the Indian government but only BCCI secretary Anurag Thakur and president Jagmohan Dalmiya are involved in the discussions”. There are many players who impressed me in this (domestic) T20 cup but we can’t afford to make many changes at once.

Afridi also asserted that the Pakistan Super League (PSL) should be held within the country, with or without overseas players.

Head coach Waqar Younis and both Afridi had seemed as witnesses from the threesome when the ICC anti-corruption tribunal held its query to the place fix scandal in 2011.

In what seems to be a clear shift of power in Pakistan cricket, underdogs Peshwar overcame the much-fancied Karachi Blues by seven wickets to clinch the National T20 Championship for a second consecutive time.

The inaugural season was originally supposed begin on March 26, 2013, but has since been postponed due to tight bidding schedules and cricket boards not handing out no-objection certificates to players.

A decision to whether the India-Pakistan series goes ahead in December could be made in October, according to BCCI’s vice-president TC Mathew.

“I am not anxious whether foreign players come or not, but at least the crowd will come and our own youngsters get an opportunity”. “The circumstances of our nation are getting higher and higher”, Afridi stated. “Even the matches here in Pakistan, in our home series, we never won them easily “, he said. They are playing so well and I have seen their recent performances. “We are going to make a settled side ahead of the World T20”.
