ALMATY A Russian Soyuz spaceship safely continue a three-man global crew, inclusive of Denmark’s first astronaut, in the worldwide Space Station (ISS) on Friday, per day after having to move to get around hitting space trash.

“I’m inspired by the opportunity to explore – to experience the Earth and moon from a unique perspective”, says the USA astronaut, who arrived at the ISS with astronauts Oleg Kononenko from Russian Federation and Kimiya Yui from Japan aboard a Soyuz rocket which arrived at the ISS after six hours of space travel.

Taken by crew member Kjell Lindgren last month, the image captured the curve of the earth, its thin layer of atmosphere and our absolutely awe-inspiring Milky Way galaxy glowing red and blue in the night sky, its billions of stars on spectacular display.

Hilariously, Lindgren’s NASA bio lists one of his interests as “amateur astronomy”.

Mogensen, dubbed “Denmark’s Gagarin” after the Soviet cosmonaut and first man in space, Yuri Gagarin, took Danish-made exercise bikes and 20 of Danish toymaker LEGO’s plastic figures into orbit. By then, Padalka will have racked up a total of 878 days in space, more than any other person. Earlier, Lindgren’s fellow astronaut Scott Kelly has also done something like that. Virts returned to earth on June 11 after spending a long time at the space station, according to CNET.
