After lifting the lid you find the Huawei Watch resting in the center of a light tan leather-looking lined compartment.

But when it comes to design – holy cats, is this one damn good-looking piece of high-tech jewelry.

A teardown of the Huawei Watch has revealed some interesting details about the wearable, including a speaker located on the inside the device.

The 1.4-inch 400 x 400 286 ppi AMOLED screen is canopied by sapphire crystal, making it scratch resistant and durable, a step higher in the world of Android Wear, and for the reviewer, a big win for the wearable. These appear to provide access to the internals of the Huawei Watch.

Swiss Watch pioneers said that the Watch has a bad design, and we also think that a circular design would look even better on the Apple Watch. The stainless steel and black leather band model I am testing out is sold for $349.99 on Amazon.

The Huawei Watch arrived in a sturdy dark brown box with the Huawei logo embedded on the top and Huawei Watch on the front. The diameter of the Watch is 42 mm and measures 11.3 mm in thickness. I just don’t close the application. Comparing this to the Apple Watch, then we have 340 x 272 pixels on the 38 mm watch with 390 x 312 pixels on 42 mm.

The leather strap is stamped with the words Huawei and genuine leather. Similar things were also done by the Apple Watch during the launch this year, let’s compare it head-to-head with the Moto 360 and see which one tops.

Other than this, the devices fail miserable when it comes to the battery life. With its always-on clock face setting turned on, and brightness set to 80 percent (setting 4 out of 5) it only drops between 3 and 4 percent per hour.

As far as software goes, you can revisit our 2014 Android Wear review and our coverage of its big updates from early 2015 and late 2015.

So basically, the experience with Android Wear on iOS is a simple notification delivery system. I also like the app launcher and new notification method. When you’re done, just swipe the cards away.

However, Google is reportedly updating Android Wear, which could allow devices running on the new version of its operating system to independently use the audio function. We often find ourselves either holding something or having messy hands while wanting to give a quick glance through recent notifications. The 2015 Moto 360 brings the crown/button on the 2 0’clock location just like the Huawei Watch. The Huawei Watch costs $350, but the price is increased depending on the level of customization. That’s a 42 mm build (the only size the Huawei Watch ships in) with a stainless steel body, sapphire display and leather band.

Other than this, in Apple Watch one series can have several easy to swap in and out bands to suit the style. Hopefully there’s going to be some more built-in APIs and third party applications. Motorola Moto 360 Maker allows you to craft your own watch with a mixed or matching body, straps, and bezel configurations. If you had it connected to an Android phone, you probably had the ability to reply to that notification. In fact, it was only a couple of days ago when the Huawei Watch did finally become available in the U.S. The base version starts at $300 with premium version tagged at a price of $450.
