These include everything from common conditions like pink eye to tropical diseases like dengue fever.

In addition to the hundreds more medical entries, Google’s Knowledge Graph is improving how it presents health information as well as how it’s triggered.

Earlier this year, the company introduced a new search feature specifically for medical information. The feature, which launched last February, displays basic info on symptoms, treatments, and prevalence when you search for things like diseases.

Google is also adding visual design improvements and more specific triggering to get you to the info you want faster, For example, searching for “flu symptoms” will take you directly to the symptoms page for the flu. Google says this more than doubles the amount of health conditions it included at the start.

So far the feature is only available in English, but Google plans to expand it to more languages and regions.

Google announced today that is massively upgrading its database of health conditions in Google search, and more than doubling the actual number of conditions to over 900.

Now when people specifically search for symptoms, that’s what will show up in the search box. There’s also an option to print out a PDF of the information so patients can bring it to a doctor. As for when these changes hit, Google notes that the new entries and features will appear “over the next few weeks”. As I said before, a lot of people probably turn to Google when they’re sick rather than immediately calling a doctor, especially considering that Google is just a couple of taps away for most of us.
