It looks like Zac Efron doesn’t remember his songs from High School Musical as well as we do!

Troy! Zac Efron failed High School Musical fans everywhere. In a hilarious (and rather shocking) interview, the We Are Your Friends star couldn’t remember “Breaking Free”, the song from the Disney Channel Original Movie that stole our hearts and made us fall in love with Zac and Vanessa Hudgens! As the name of the game suggests, he will have to guess the title of the song just by the intro alone.

We Are Your Friends is out in cinemas this Thursday (August 27).

Emily, on the other hand, immediately nabbed Beyonce’s Drunk In Love before Max inadvertently knew of the title EDM-inspired track from their flick We Are Your Friends. Efron said in his defense. And even though it took him about 22 seconds to answer correctly, he does make a fair point.

None of the them were able to guess the name of a One Direction song, with Joseph saying that he thought the song was from the 1980’s.

One song that was immensely popular was “Breaking Free”. Joseph teased him about this to which Efron replied that “there were three movies of songs”, sort of apologetic. This too was noted by Cosmopolitan UK. “I have vague memories of it being on TV”, he told Seth Meyers as reported by Entertainment Weekly.
