As they are, the two smartphones appear to be continuing the OmniBalance design language that Sony has developed.
While the general view is that Sony may drop the plans to introduce new premium smartphones during the second half of 2015, a recent report from Italy hints otherwise.
Both buttons are bigger than on other Xperia Z devices, and that is because we might be seeing fingerprint scanning on these smartphones, like the image below shows.
And that brings us to the two images below, which show the sides of each device, along with their screens on and talk of fingerprint sensors embedded in power/lock buttons.
According to our post from a few days ago, a photo of the upcoming Sony Xperia Z5 and Z5 Compact was leaked.
The larger model of the Xperia Z5, possibly named the Xperia Z5 Ultra, is not included in the image uploaded by ViziLeaks. Moreover, it can be expected that the Japanese tech giant will unveil the devices next month, perhaps at the world global consumer electronics trade show IFA Berlin. This will give Sony the opportunity to boast its flagship smartphones without being overshadowed by products from its rivals. Early rumors suggest that the Xperia Z5 is expected to flaunt a 5.5-inch display and will be powered by a Snapdragon 820 chipset. It is also likely to pack the new v2. On the camera front, it will sport a 21-megapixel sensor, which will be accompanied by a 8-megapixel selfie camera. Meanwhile, the Xperia Z5 Compact should be able to include most of the same specs and features in a smaller but slightly thicker body.
