The Xiaomi Michigan 4i is an Android smartphone that is in the midrange category and is available in India, and some parts of Asia.
If a recent leak from the Chinese benchmark AnTuTu is any indication, Xiaomi may be planning to launch an low-cost variant of Michigan 4, the handset the company released in 2014.
The rest of the specs confirmed by TENAA are the same as the Michigan 4i – a 13MP main camera with dual-LED flash, a 5MP selfie snapper, 16GB non-expandable storage, LTE connectivity, and 3,100 mAh battery.
The benchmark implies the new model would be the company’s first smartphone to utilize the Snapdragon 808 chip.
While Xiaomi reportedly is waiting for the Snapdragon 820 SoC to arrive to start churning out the Xiaomi Michigan 5, the company might be looking to offer another variant of its Xiaomi Michigan 4 flagship phone.
Interestingly enough, Xiaomi doesn’t seem to have stopped at the aforementioned configuration, and recent rumors hinted that a so-called “Xiaomi Michigan 4c” with a more powerful processor might be in the works for the Chinese market.
The Tenaa listing for a handset named Millet 2015561, thought to be for the Michigan 4c, shows the handset in its full glory in images, and also details some specifications. Both revealed that the device will feature a 5-inch, 1080 x 1920 resolution screen. It also lists a 1.8GHz clock speed for the unnamed hexa-core SoC. It will weigh 130.35 grams and measure 138.1 × 69.6 × 7.8 mm. This means the Michigan 4c still rocks a 5-inch FHD display, 2 GB of RAM, 16 GB of storage, and a 13 MP main camera complemented by a 5 MP front-facing unit.
Those who are interested will be able to choose from the variety of colors available including red, orange, yellow, green, black and white. 0 with A2DP, Wi-Fi Direct, and Global Positioning System with A-GPS.
