
Microsoft has just announced a huge boost to its backwards compatibility drive by making all its future Games with Gold titles backwards compatible at launch.
With the launch of Windows 10 and a renewed push to unify Xbox and PC into one huge ecosystem, it’s a busy time for Microsoft.
Also noted by Microsoft is the ability to utilize Smartglass apps on Windows devices to remotely schedule recordings, you know in case you abruptly remember at work. Companies who have agreed to backwards compatibility were also revealed. Since 2013 Microsoft has downplayed watching live TV on Xbox One but will offer a new subscription-free DVR functionality in 2016.
Furthermore, it has been announced that if you were to buy a game on one platform (such as from the Xbox Marketplace), you will automatically have it for the other platform (such as Windows 10) as well.
