It works in a very similar way to the new Xbox One backwards compatibility, but the Xbox 360 created an individual emulator for each original Xbox game rather than the way the Xbox One creates an emulator for the entire Xbox 360.
Microsoft recently announced at E3 2015 that Xbox One backwards compatibility will be coming on November. While at the time it only worked with a selection of Xbox 360 titles, it has since been slowly expanding its offerings. This feature has started to roll out to Preview Program members with 20 Xbox 360 titles, while finder.com.au already leaked over 130 games and continuously updates the list, Bidness ETC reported. Xbox Live Gold membership definitely has other perks, including multiplayer gameplay and exclusive discounts on specific deals.
