William Shatner will host ‘Star Trek’s’ first-ever official cruise

According to the cruise website, other stars attending include Marina Sirtis and Jonathan Frakes from “Star Trek: The Next Generation“, Robert Picardo from “Star Trek: Voyager“, James Darren from “Deep Space Nine“, Denise Crosby from “The Next Generation“, as well as John de Lancie from “The Next Generation“, “Voyager”, and “Deep Space Nine“.

Guests will be treated to performances, comedy shows and concerts by “Star Trek” actors, as well as talks from several top scientists and other experts in all things Trek. Despite launching in 2017, the cruise is part of the 50th anniversary celebrations of Trek, which debuted on screens in 1966.

‘I am excited to be the host of Star Trek: The Cruise, ‘ Shatner said in a statement. Fans will enjoy the themed parties (including Holo Nights, Q’s Masquerade Ball, Risa’s Festival Of The Moon Party, and Starfleet’s Intergalactic Gala), interactive games (including Star Trek-themed chess, Catan, Risk, Trivial Pursuit and trivia contents), screenings of numerous Star Trek movies on the pool deck, competitions, and more. Tickets range from $975 to $7,500. William Shatner undoubtedly hopes that no troubles will be aboard.

Of course, those ports of call are common ones for cruises, however, this is the first cruise completely dedicated to an immersive Star Trek fan experience.

Captain Kirk is getting ready to boldly go where no man has gone before, and he wants all you “Star Trek” fans out there to tag along for the ride. And with the cruise still being a year and a half away, who knows?

Now this is officially sanctioned by CBS Consumer Products, so we assume the ship will be festooned with nods to “Star Trek” and its various iterations.

The video promises a cavalcade of stars from the “Star Trek” universe, including host William Shatner, who will come in handy if you run into any opposition from Khan.
