According to The Indian Express, Motorola director product management Carl Steen said that they are now just waiting for the code for the new Android M update from Google. The same is expected of the now Lenovo-owned tech company when Google launches the much-awaited Android M to the public this year.
In August, it was revealed that the next-gen model of the Droid Maxx, Motorola’s “high-end”, Verizon-exclusive smartphone, would actually be the USA version of the Moto X Play. However, Verizon’s model is only now about to receive the new software.
We reported last week that Verizon Wireless confirmed customers will be able to easily activate their unlocked Motorola Moto X Pure Edition devices on its network. It can be purchased without a contract for a decent $400.
Aside from a 21 MP and 5 MP camera combo, the devices allegedly utilize a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor paired with 3 GB RAM. For the internal storage, it will have 64GB.
More leaked images of the Nexus 5 2015 have surfaced lately, in which the phone has a white plastic back with a fingerprint scanner located below the rear camera, while the LED Flash sits in front of it. Also, the power button and volume buttons have been placed on the same side, but they are somewhere lower, compared to the original Nexus 5.
It’s also worth mentioning that if you already have an activated Verizon nanoSIM from another smartphone, you won’t have any issues using it with your Motorola Moto X Pure Edition because it won’t require you to activate it again. Here’s everything you need to know about the Droid Turbo 2, including a release date, price, specs, and availability. However, the Android M software developer kit (SDK) was already launched a couple of months ago, which means that the public release might not be too far off. The device is also expected to come equipped with the latest Android operating system, Marshmallow 6.0.
