TV DVR features coming to Xbox One in 2016

The plug-in accessory was a fan favorite on the Xbox 360 and its presence has been missed for some time.



The highly anticipated new Windows 10 UI for Xbox One is officially launching in November for all users.

There are new Xbox One games being released with every passing week. For that, users would need a dual tuner, which doesn’t exist for the Xbox One at the moment. The company also officially announced the long-rumored Xbox One DVR is real and will be released in 2016.

The DVR feature will be coming to Xbox One in 2016, subscription free.

Officially licensed for the Xbox One, the headset features a custom dark chrome matte finish with metallic blue accents, with Halo-inspired graphics. Gamers can pre-order the bundles now, which will launch on September 15 for $349 (500GB) or $399 (1TB). The Xbox Chatpad is compatible with all Xbox One controllers and works with Xbox One and Windows 10.

Starting next year, you’ll be able to DVR your favorite TV shows and stream them to mobile devices. As well as bringing Windows 10 to gamers – including Cortana – the update will also make it possible to play Xbox 360 games. Microsoft had earlier said that Xbox 360 games would run on Xbox One, and it has now been revealed that this fall that will become a reality – at least for a limited number of games.

And for Seagate, it’s a chance to move into a new market, as the hard drive business continues to give way to cloud storage options.

At the end of its lifespan, the Xbox 360 looked nothing like, and had much more functionality than it did at launch.
