New Jersey Transit trains are running again in and out of New York’s Penn Station after service was suspended because of Amtrak overhead wire problems.
The delays were a result of an ongoing problem with Amtrak’s overhead wires, and a disabled train inside of a tunnel.
Normal service resumed around 9 a.m. according to an NJ Transit tweet, but 30-minute delays still showed on their website until 10 a.m.
The issues caused around one-hour delays into and out of New York City. NJ Transit buses were also cross-honoring rail tickets.
PATH is accepting NJT rail tickets/passes in Newark Penn, Hoboken and New York 33rd St stations, an NJ Transit alert said.
The suspension were the latest in a string of headaches for NJ Transit riders this week.
