Tottenham Hotspur are looking to strengthen their attacking options this summer and it has become evident that one man they want is Clinton N’Jie of Olympique Lyonnais.

Head coach Mauricio Pochettino also wants another out-and-out striker and a central midfielder before the transfer window shuts.

The Cameroonian worldwide had something of a breakthrough year last term and can play anywhere across the front-line.

N’Jie appears to be the most likely deal to be concluded quickly with Spurs now in talks with the forward’s French club Lyon.

Tottenham have also been interested in Stuttgart’s young Germany U20 global Timo Werner but the German club are reluctant to sell one of their brightest prospects.

Although Nabil Fekir and Alexandre Lacazette were the headline-grabbers at Stade Gerland last term, N’Jie’s pace and attacking intent drew much praise.

West Brom will demand at least £25m for Berahino, while Spurs think he is worth more like £15m.

The Baggies have signed Rickie Lambert this summer and are also close to bringing in Salomon Rondon from Zenit St Petersburg, which has led to speculation that they are preparing for Berahino’s departure.

West Brom forward Berahino is a long-term target for Spurs while Hernandez will be third choice striker at Manchester United this season. With Emmanuel Adebayor and Roberto Soldado expected to leave, the club could feasibly soon find themselves in a situation where Harry Kane is the only recognised striker in the first-team squad.
