Renowned industry veterans, including Dan Tudge (Dragon Age: Origins), are working together on a “deep narrative” and shared storytelling experience that brings “the world of Faerûn home like never before”.
Head Start will have three planned sessions, he adds.
If you’re feeling very, very confident about Sword Coast Legends and fancy dropping a pre-order on it, you’ll be able to play earlier than the official day of release.
Stage one runs from September 11-13 for members of the Design Council – those that pre-ordered one of the Limited Edition Collector’s or Campaign Collector’s packs. Cross-platform play will be supported, and developers n-Space, Digital Extremes and Wizards of the Coast team members will be mingling with players.
A second phase opens up between September 18-20th for all other pre-orderers. In both these two sessions, access will be limited to the Dungeon Master modes of Campaign Creation & Dungeon Crawl.
The press release also mentions that in order to be included in this Head Start Access, players need to link their purchase to an account on SwordCoast.com; access details will then be sent to the email associated with that account.
Sword Coast Legends makes its way to Windows 10 on a slightly delayed date now of September 29th.
