And the first look at his grotesque zombie self has Martin at a book signing, which is even more ridiculous.
Cuervo: It is expected next year. The last installment, A Dance with Dragons, released in 2011, and it left the fate of many a fan favorite character hanging in the balance.
Martin apparently is a big fan of Syfy productions.
In an interview with D’Brickashaw Ferguson of NewYorkJets.com, the “Song of Fire and Ice” author admitted the inspiration behind his popular fantasy book series.
Z Nation Season 2 will include a starring cameo by George R.R. Martin.
Host: And the sixth book will come out…?
H: In English, you mean, but, in Spanish, when would that be?
RH: But it will also be during the next year for sure, won’t it?
The host even asked the editor for confirmation, “But you are equally sure it will be next year?” to which Cuervo answered with “Well, let’s see, confident…but a meteor could fall”. At the beginning of this year, Martin revealed that he has canceled several events in order to work on the book. Industry sources have poured scorn on the reliability of this assurance, but Martin has said for a while now that getting book six out before the television series airs next spring “has been important to me all along”, and I reckon he’ll do it.
Martin previously had an appearance in Syfy’s Sharknado 3, and featured in the 1980s CBS version of Beauty and the Beast, a show where he also worked as a writer.
Martin’s American publishers, Cuervo says, “have promised us that they will give us the manuscript before the release date in English”, so Ediciones Gigamesh’s Spanish edition will not be far behind.
