The new Warhammer 40k game Freeblade is an action-focused mobile shooter

The grim, war-torn world of Warhammer 40,000 is officially coming to mobile tablets and phones thanks to developer Pixel Toys newly announced game “Warhammer 40,000: Freeblade“.

Freeblade places you in command of an Imperial Knight, a towering mech armed with potent energy weapons and a fercius, mech-sized chainsword. “Fans have never seen 40k’s futuristic troops, creatures and vehicles of war in combat like this before on any mobile platform”.

Freeblade signals a real step-change for Pixel Toys“, said Andy Wafer, co-founder of Pixel Toys. Pilot the huge mechanized Imperial Knight, engage in dramatic, explosive heavy weapon combat with enemy forces, played out in authentic, recognizable environments from Warhammer 40,000. Freeblade from Pixel Toys does, at the very least, seem to supply a brand new sort of gameplay on the Warhammer theme and universe, which does rely for one thing.

“Complete with a versatile loot and crafting system, players can forge, upgrade and customise their Imperial Knight as the campaign progresses”, explains the press release. Check out the trailer below for a sense of the scale of the battles you’ll be fighting, and look for more info on Warhammer 40,000: Freeblade on the game’s official site as it targets a fall release.
