It’s an interesting device itself, something that sees Apple trailing behind Microsoft and its Surface line of Windows-powered tablets.

Research firm Kantar Worldpanel says many iPhone owners have older models, suggesting they may be ready to upgrade to a newer iPhone in the coming months.

Apple has announced the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus, the latest iPhone models from the company.

The iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus will both arrive with a new camera, faster processor and new display technology that Apple is calling 3D Touch. The feature is integrated to use with different apps across the system.

On Wednesday, Apple introduced the iPad Pro, a tablet with a much larger (12.9-inch) touch screen than previous iPads, in addition to revealing a new optional stylus and physical keyboard/cover.

After years of avoiding the use of a stylus as an input device, Apple finally gave in with this latest iPad variant. The new iPhones deliver 4K video, a first for an iPhone, with a five-megapixel HD camera and a new screen flash for selfies. This year’s one had something for everyone: new iPhones, new Apple TV, the iPad Pro, and a regrettable bit of sexism during a demo.

Apple also trimmed off some of the size of the iPad mini 4: it is 0.24 inches thick and 0.65 pounds, as compared to the 0.29 inches thick and 0.73 pounds of its predecessor.

The Fire TV box launched in the U.S. in April 2014 for US$99 and also offers voice control along with some 2,000 channels, apps and games. Some have said that the new products failed to make major improvements compared with the last generation of iPhones. For example, Verizon customers can upgrade their phone on a two-year contract on Apple’s website but cannot switch to the device payment plan without visiting an Apple store in person.

Even with all the shiny new toys, there was no big upswing in the company’s stock prices, with many commentators saying that Apple failed to unveil any breathtakingly visionary product.
