The Zimbabwe Conservation Task Force announced its intention to build a life-size replica of the tragically killed cat at the Hwange National Park, where he and his pride lived in.

Researchers say Cecil’s cubs will be just fine.

The future looks bleak for Cecil’s young cubs.

“The females must become nomadic and keep running. It is a disaster”.

Cecil wore a Global Positioning System tag and was monitored by a research team at Oxford University.

It allows experts to track her through the African bush.

According to an article released on July 29, 2015, “We have seen the lions acting a bit strangely and huddled in a circle with what appears to be a map of the United States” said park ranger Lionel Drodhorzt.

He said: “I think it would make a very big change if the dentist does get extradited as it will put off a lot of hunters who believe they are doing a good thing”.

“He’s unlikely to ever kill the cubs himself, despite roaming the same habitat”. “When a male lion is killed, because of the way their society works, a likely outcome is the overthrow and death of other adult male members of his weakened coalition, and the subsequent infanticide of his cubs”, it said.

“I found this lovely photo of Cecil and I just thought, man this would be a great portrait”, Gasenzer said.

“I have not been contacted by authorities in Zimbabwe or in the US about this situation, but will assist them in any enquiries they may have”.

Theo Bronkhorst – the safari guide of Walter Palmer, the Minnesota dentist who “deeply regrets” killing Cecil – turned the lion’s head and skin over to authorities after they raided his home.

Mr Palmer, an avid big game hunter, has said he relied on professional guides to ensure his lion hunt was legal. He shot Cecil with a crossbow after the lion had been lured to killing grounds away from the government-protected park.

The brand placed adverts in the Zimbabwean press on Thursday saying, “Our pride lives on – A tribute to Cecil the Lion”.
