Samsung declared its slimmest cell phone to date a week ago – that is the Galaxy A8 – and today the Korean firm took the wraps off its most slimmest tablet gadgets as such: the Galaxy Tab S2.
In an official press release about the new device, Samsung’s CEO and President of IT & Mobile Division JK Shin said, “the Galaxy Tab S2 gives users quick, easy access to a wealth of superior viewing and productivity features.
The Galaxy Tab S2 will launch next month, but Samsung hasn’t said how much it’ll cost yet. Both tablets also feature integrated fingerprint readers, eight-megapixel rear cameras and 2.1 megapixel front selfie shooters, along with 802.11ac Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, and optional cellular connectivity. The back lens can record HD-quality video with 2560×1440 resolution at 30 frames-per-second rate.
The Galaxy Tab S2 will also include familiar Samsung S features like multitasking and pop-up windows.
Previously the Note series has been revealed in September but this means that Samsung have been missing out on the return to college for students, which happens in late August.
Prices of the Galaxy Tab S2 tablets have not been disclosed yet. The 9.7 has a battery capacity of 5870 mAh, while the 8 has 4000 mAh.
It’s quite a handful, too, with the photo apparently showing it side by side and measuring up to Samsung’s Galaxy Note 4 phablet, meaning it’ll pack at least a 5.7 inch display. To improve on that, Samsung is implementing adaptive technology that will adjust brightness, color saturation, and sharpness based on what app is running and what kind of lighting conditions you’re in.
Both models come with 3GB of RAM, and users can choose between 32 or 64GB of internal storage, with microSD up to 128GB also supported.
Samsung has announced the launch of Galaxy Tab S2, a stylish, thin metal tablet that comes in two screen sizes: 8-inch and 9.7-inches.
