According to the release, the investigations began during the spring when police were called to a report of a home invasion at 11:29 p.m. on Prosper Street in the city.

“Additionally, Boggs was also charged with robbery, burglary while armed and conspiracy to commit an armed robbery” for allegedly participating in multiple home invasions alongside Tejay Johnson, a former Rutgers player whose career ended in July 2014 due to injury.
Boggs, 20, of Coatesville, was picked up two days before Saturday’s opening game of the football season and charged with robbery, armed burglary, and related charges.
Kicked off the team with Barnwell were fellow defensive backs Dre Boggs, Ruhann Peele and Delon Stephenson and fullback Razohnn Gross. A 19-year-old male suffered a broken jaw. Ex-football players wee implicated as well, including Stephenson’s older brother, Daryl, who remains at large.
Ralph Friedgen – last year’s offensive coordinator, now a program consultant – told the Record the idea of firing Flood is “ridiculous”, and a source close to the athletic department said that’s unlikely unless evidence arises he knew about the incident and hid it, or a new drama occurs.
Flood added that it was his decision to dismiss the players from the program.
The players were suspended from the team on Thursday.
Flood said many students, not just athletes, are assigned “T” or temporary grades at the end of a semester that could be improved upon with other work.
“All I could say is we had no reason at that point for them not to practice, ” Flood said. Barnwell is the player at the center of the academic investigation involving Kyle Flood.
“I really don’t have any comment on them”, running back Paul James said.
Flood was clearly emotional when talking about his disappointment concerning the arrests, indicating he was sorry he went to bat for Barnwell and gave several players second chances given the way things ultimately played out.
