Rousey, who ranks as the UFC women’s bantamweight champion, now has made it to the 2015 list of “40 under 40” published by Fortune, reported MSN.
In the same year the undefeated fighter made over US$5 million from two bouts alone, won an ESPY for Best fighter, and starred in both Furious 7 and Entourage, the 28-year-old has become the third ever athlete to make it onto Fortune’s top 40 most influential young people in business.
Ronda Rousey joins the likes of singer Taylor Swift, actress Jessica Alba, and HBO host John Oliver on the list. However, her male arch nemesis Floyd Mayweather didn’t make the list. While Fortune once based its rankings entirely on financial wealth, it now also accounts for “achievements, ambition and influence”.
In addition, apparently, Rousey takes her buffalo wings so seriously that she once cried herself to sleep after eating a bad batch following a fight. She signed an endorsement deal with Carl’s Jr.to do burger commercials.
Rousey is scheduled to fight Holly Holm at UFC 193 on November 15th next.
It seems to be working out for her. Rousey is 12-0 in the UFC, and has seen nothing but success over the course of her entire career. The filming of the action movie is expected to take place in Jakarta, Indonesia in the early half of 2016. If I was really going to be there, would you want to know, or would you want to be surprised?
UFC President Dana White expressed her views on this issue.
According to Bleacher Report, Ronda was asked if she would return to the WWE ring soon, specifically at Wrestlemania 32.
“Don’t think for a New York second that at the end of the day pretty boy Floyd would knock the living stuffing out of Ronda Rousey“, Abbott said.
