Bethesda and Zenimax Online Studios confirm that they’re going to add two fan favorite factions to The Elder Scrolls Online in 2016, in the form of the Dark Brotherhood and the Thieves Guild, as part of the future expansions for the multiplayer title.
A new The Elder Scrolls Online Tamriel Unlimited patch for the Xbox One version of the game will be starting rolling out later today following maintenance for both North American and European megaservers.
A Playstation 4 and its controller is on display at the Sony Playstation E3 2013 booth at the Los Angeles Convention Center on June 11, 2013 in Los Angeles, California.
Until then, Imperial City debuts on August 31 for PC and Mac, and on September 15 for PS4 and Xbox One.
Additionally, the developer also revealed that in the first DLC of “The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited”, fans will be introduced to a new in-game currency called Tel Var stones. Luckily, as reported by IGN, the added content is set to be available in the ESO public test server next week.
According to a report from ChristianToday, fans were expecting some information regarding the upcoming Elder Scrolls 6 during the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3 2015). The Dark Brotherhood and Thieves Guild will be added to “Elder Scrolls” in the first half of 2016.
However, given the next two expansions, it’s safe to say that new environments, settlements, missions, gear, and other mechanics are going to appear alongside the scheduled additions to The Elder Scrolls Online. “The hybrid PvE and PvP play areas will offer plenty of opportunities for players to attack other players opportunistically, crashing the party while their targets are occupied with a nest of mad daedra”, creative director Rich Lambert said, as quoted by the website. As of late the game has already sold more than 40 million copies worldwide.
