Yann M’Vila will arrive at Sunderland tomorrow to undergo a medical with the Premier League side.
M’Vila now plays his football with Rubin Kazan in Russian Federation, but a fall-out between him and the club means he spent last season on loan with Internazionale and was supposed to be joining Dynamo Moscow on a temporary basis for the coming campaign.
Leroy Fer provides a strong central midfield presence with the 25-year-old capable of getting stuck-in whilst also being capable of providing a real threat in the final third with the QPR man well known for his explosive long range finishing.
Fer has suffered the drop in each of the last two seasons, with Norwich and then QPR, but both clubs splashed out big sums on the Dutch global.
Sunderland have struck a deal to sign Leroy Fer from Championship outfit Queens Park Rangers, reported by The Sunday.
Fer has signed a season-long loan deal with the Premier League club, according to the report.
Sunderland have also been linked with Fenherbahce striker Moussa Sow and Blackburn Rovers’ frontman Jordan Rhodes in recent days, but neither are understood to be genuine targets.
Sunderland have been offered the chance to sign Brazilian striker Alexandre Pato, but it is unlikely that they will follow up with a move for the ex-AC Milan man.
