Pakistan is yet to confirm NSA meet, says Sartaj Aziz

Sources said the two sides are discussing possible dates on which Aziz can visit New Delhi for talks amid a war of words between India and Pakistan over the Gurdaspur attack.

Ajit Doval and Sartaj Aziz, the national security advisers, are likely to priorities the terrorism related issues during the talks, it added.

Pakistan Prime Minister will raise the issue of alleged Indian involvement by its spy agency, Research and Analysis Wing (RAW), in its territory in the United Nations, said their National Security Advisor Sartaj Aziz. Moreover, he said that he himself responded to counter Indian objection to the Pakistan-China Economic Corridor June 2nd this year and his statement also referred to the issue of Kashmir and plight of Kasilmiris (copy attached).

The two leaders agreed on several measures aimed at taking forward stalled bilateral ties, including meetings of the heads of the BSF and Pakistan Rangers and the Directors General of Military Operations, the release of fishermen in each other’s custody, the promotion of religious tourism and ways to expedite the trial of seven Pakistani men charged with involvement in the 2008 Mumbai attacks.

India has long been accused of fuelling insurgency in Balochistan and unrest in Karachi.

The Indian propaganda machine goes on with full steam to blame Pakistan for the incident even after Sartaj Aziz’s policy statement on the floor of the National Assembly last week in which he categorically rejected the Indian allegations as baseless and unfounded.

He, however, said Pakistan has not yet confirmed the proposed meeting and the agenda of the planned talks has also not been fixed yet. “I think the prime minister is certainly going to use the forum of the UNGA to highlight RAW’s activities in the country”, he had said.
