One Direction are to split in march 2016 for at least a year as they pursue solo projects.

Directioners have been faced with reports that Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson and Niall Horan are to focus on their solo careers from March 2016. The guys are putting the group in ice so they can each do their own thing.

All members of the band are 100 per cent behind the decision to break up.
