“We are absolutely an offensive line driven program”. A year ago the Buckeyes were inexperienced. And they outschemed us a little bit. “We came in with a game plan and then it didn’t work as well as we wanted it to”.

Travis Greene added a rushing touchdown for the Falcons (1-1), who won their first road game against a Power Five conference school since 2008 and their second overall against a Big Ten foe in as many seasons. “We just got to get better. Neither he or J.T. Barrett played well Saturday in a 38-0 victory against Hawaii at Ohio Stadium, combining to compete 20 of 34 passes for 181 yards with no touchdowns. “Cardale finished the season as the starter and that kind of started the thinking that he had to get beat out and he wasn’t beat out”, Buckeyes coach Urban Meyer told reporters.

“You wish you could get them in faster, ” he said. “J.T. had 15 opportunities to throw the ball; Cardale, 18”. Because we did not protect very well today.

“A win is a win”, Jones said.

Defensive line coach Larry Johnson said Bosa might play fewer snaps this year to keep him more fresh to play at a maximum level.

Ezekiel Elliott was invisible, save for his wonderful 80-yard scamper in the first half (which was, like, the fifth best highlight of the evening for either squad), due mostly to that dreaded BEAR DEFENSE RAWWRRRRR that Bud Foster threw at the Buckeyes.

After a rocky first half against the Hokies, not much went wrong for Ohio State.

Counting a 2-0 start this season, the Huskies are 59-13 since 2010. They may not be an excellent competitor, but it was still a very impressive game from the star running back.

“Obviously, we know what’s at stake”, Chow said.

He is the first Buckeye since Ted Ginn Jr.in 2006 to run for a 50-yard touchdown and catch one for 50 and another score in the same game. “We’re 2-0. Would you like a grade or something?” he said. This defense was lights-out good on Saturday. And I don’t think the [second team] went in there and tackled particularly well. I don’t know (how) people have time to do all of that. “I was working on the other side”.

-H-back Curtis Samuel returned from a one-game suspension and contributed a team-best seven receptions for 53 yards and rushed one time for nine yards against Hawaii last week.

But Meyer refused to used the short week as an excuse.

“I think with that quick turnaround with just a couple of days to prepare we weren’t ready to play”, he said. “I made that clear down there”. “This is – I can’t recall in major college football history when I remember witnessing something like that, where you have two good guys”.
