A Microsoft executive hints that developers may get their hands on this soon.
Microsoft is due to launch an over-the-air TV DVR that will plug into its Xbox One games console next year.
Microsoft has now limited support for first party titles only which cover games that Microsoft is either publishing or developing itself. Game developers have to be excited-Microsoft just gave their Xbox 360 lineup a jumpstart, opening those older titles up to gamers who owned a PlayStation during that generation.
The new Xbox Chatpad is also equipped with two extra buttons that can be programmed to quickly access Xbox applications. The copy of Halo 5: Guardians that will come with the bundle will be available for download as early as October 26, a day ahead of the game’s official public release. Mr. Ybarra also confirmed that games acquired through the “Games with Gold program” for free, are also compatible with the upcoming feature.
Unless you’re merely a casual gamer, it’s likely that you’re dealing with (or have at least dealt with) space issues with your current-gen console(s). Once the service is up, you would be able to play that recording on any Windows 10 device, perhaps utilising the power of Continuum and Windows 10’s massively marketed cross-platform capability. The original Xbox One was released with only 500 GB of internal storage, and of that, only about 360 GB is usable. The other great feature is that it will allow users to stream their recorded shows to any Windows 10 device. In the short gameplay video, we’re shown footage of giant skyscrapers crumbling to pieces, and buildings literally collapsing from underneath a character’s feet.
A Microsoft spokesperson confirms you’ll only be able to record TV if you have an external hard drive.
There’s been a plethora of Halo 5 news coming out Gamescom’s press event so lets take a look at some of their more important announcements.
