Former AFC Bournemouth and current Norwich City striker Lewis Grabban has reportedly gone AWOL following a third bid by the Cherries to bring him back to Dean Court.
“I don’t have any issue with any players”.
“There has been a lot of speculation surrounding Gary in particular”, Neil said. Any sort of thing that happens behind closed doors stays there and that has always been the case and that will remain the case.
‘The situation is that Bournemouth have come in with two separate bids for Lewis and both have been rejected.
“I think when it gets to this stage of the transfer window, anything is possible”.
Neil also said he had not made a renewed bid for Wolverhampton Wanderers forward Benik Afobe, but admitted he was still looking to add another forward player to his squad.
Grabban, 27, scored 35 goals in 87 appearances during his two years with the Cherries before being sold to Norwich for £3 million last summer.
The Dutchman had not bagged since his debut in 2013 and spent all of last season at St Etienne but he ended his drought in timely fashion as he gave his side a 2-0 cushion in the 68th minute against the Millers after Jonny Howson’s first-half opener.
“We’ll be putting out a strong squad against Rotherham and we’ll be trying to win the game”.
Rotherham boss Steve Evans was left impressed by Rudd’s heroics.
He is quoted by the club’s official Twitter feed as saying: “I thought Rotherham worked hard”. From the performances so far, we’ve merited more points than we’ve got.
