National Basketball Association All-star James Harden joins adidas for $200m

Nike continues to dominate competitors Adidas and Under Armour in the United States basketball sneaker market, with an estimated 90 percent market share. His ceiling is far from reached, which tells you the future for him and our brand looks incredible.”We have a lot of energy in basketball right now and James takes that momentum to a whole new level”, Grancio continued”.

The “NBA 2K” series is one of the most realistic sports franchises available but now, the series will be even closer to real life.

According to reports, Nike has bowed out of the bidding war and will let Harden fall into adidas’ hands.

“Ty is definitely going to help us”, Harden said during a break in the Kroger Unplug and Play James Harden Basketball ProCamp in The Woodlands on Saturday.

Harden is already on track to make $16.78 million for his last remaining three years with the Houston Rockets.

Harden spent six years with Nike but was never given a signature shoe.

Harden and new Rockets guard Ty Lawson “spent some time together”, enough for Harden to be convinced that his new teammate will overcome his off-court issues and be a valuable addition to the Rockets’ backcourt.

The former Thunder guard was reportedly offered $200 million over 13 years by Adidas following the expiration of his Nike deal. The deal with Harden, which will have him wearing Adidas shoes on the court and gear in social settings, officially begin on October 1. Harden and the Rockets could set up as a nice partnership for Adidas. With Westbrook getting his own signature shoe with Jordan Brand and Stephen Curry with Under Armour, James Harden seems like a shoo-in to be part of that elite group considering his MVP performance. They have some of the best, most recognizable players under contract – LeBron James, Kobe Bryant, Kevin Durant and Chris Paul in particular – and now will also be the NBA’s official apparel provider. Together with the other Adidas headliners namely, John Wall of the Washington Wizards, Derrick Rose of the Chicago Bulls and Minnesota Timberwolves’ rookie of the Year Andrew Wiggins, Adidas is looking for a rebound in sales.
