For months rumors have been speculating when it would arrive, and below are all the details for those curious about the new Moto X Pure Edition “Style” for 2015. Both social networks received the same information; however, both posts were later removed.

Motorola has announced the list of its devices that will get software updates to battle the “Stagefright” exploit.

All branding confusion aside, today the company has finally unveiled the actual release date for the new Moto X Pure Edition in the US: it’s September 3. Interestingly, Motorola has since deleted its tweet announcing the date, but you can see a screenshot of it below. Unfortunately, Des Smith has said that the new Moto X won’t include Wi-Fi Calling.

Motorola will be directly selling this handset in the United States and customization options will be available through Moto Maker, those who are waiting to pick one up should keep in mind that it won’t be sold through carriers so customers won’t be able to take advantage of the equipment installment plans offered by major carriers. The Moto X Style will launch with Android 5.1.1 on board, a near stock experience that is all but guaranteed to be at the front of the line when Android M launches later in the year. It appears the new 5.7-inch Moto X will be available on the 3rd starting at only $399. We imagine the X Style will perform similarly to the G4 and deliver pretty excellent speed and efficiency, but may start to wobble if you really want to throw a lot at it, which is something 99% of users would never do.

With an off-contract price of $399 and up, buyers will be getting a great value based on my first hands-on with the phone.
