Roma signed Salah on a season-long loan with an option to make the deal permanent at any point, as reported by BBC Sport.
Salah arrived at Chelsea from Basel in January 2014 but only made 18 appearances, spending the latter half of last season on loan at Fiorentina.
The Egypt worldwide was expected to remain with the Viola but decided that he wanted to search for football elsewhere.
Mohamed Salah will be even better for Roma than he was for Fiorentina, his agent has proclaimed.
“I didn’t expect [the welcome from fans] but it was very nice for me. I’ll be happy when I score in Serie A and the Champions League.” the 23-year-old told Roma TV.
It was Salah who broke the deadlock in the 9th minute of the game, but the player has stated that he will only truly be happy when he scores in the competitive matches for Roma in the forthcoming season. “One of the biggest clubs in the world”.
“For many reasons, neither I nor Salah can speak publicly in detail about what actually happened, but we will do so very soon”. “Everybody will do their best to make the fans happy”.
“I think everybody here has ambition and everybody wants to win the title”, he said on Roma’s website.
“I think Roma have some excellent players that can help us to compete in all the competitions we’ll be playing in”. I sure hope for everyone’s sake that Salah justifies all this drama and nonsense going forward this season.
