‘Minority Report’ changes Washington Redskins’ name on show

In 2065 Washington D.C., as depicted in the Fox TV series adaptation of Steven Spielberg’s hit movie Minority Report, the local NFL team is called the Washington Red Clouds, rather than the slur now used as the name of the football team. That new name wouldn’t even require them to change their logo, or anything! The new team name is an homage to Red Cloud (1822 – 1909), a great Native American leader who took on the United States Army for control of the Powder River Country in parts of Wyoming and Montana. According to Deadline, the producers revealed that some monuments will look a little different as well. Technological advancements have since “made it more affordable on a television budget”, he clarified.



The children are now all grown-up and one of them, Dash (Stark Sands), struggles to lead a normal life and is haunted by visions of the future. The cast also includes Wilmer Valderrama, Laura Regan and Li Jun Li. Will you be catching-up to Dash and the Precogs? “I think people will grow with his character and see him mature and love him because of that sweetness and because he really wants to change the world”.

Minority Report premieres on September 21st – the same night as the Gotham S2 premiere.
