If the images are accurate, this would support previous reports and rumours that the device will indeed have a curved display.
According to Spanish site Microsoft Insider, the new device codenamed “Envoy” sports a metallic finish towards the front panel along with physical buttons as well.

This fitness tracker is called, fittingly, the Microsoft Band 2 and, if the possibly leaked images suggest anything, the company is really focused on making the product more stylish. The original device also works with apps such as MapMyFitness, RunKeeper, MyFitnessPal and UP.
Nevertheless, the Microsoft Band should not be judged only by its appearance, but also by its technical characteristics.
The leak of the Microsoft Band 2 images comes a few days ahead of Microsoft’s hardware launch event scheduled to be held on October 6. But Microsoft hopefully has more tricks up its sleeve than just tracking how winded one gets after running the stairs at the local high school. Microsoft’s original Band was unveiled in October 2014 for $199 to battle it out with fitness bands from competitors, including Sony, Samsung, Fitbit and others. For more details, we have to wait until the Microsoft event next month to see what changes Microsoft has brought to the table to compete against the likes of Fitbit and Jawbone. The Band 2’s strap appears to be made from rubberized plastic, while metal and glass seems to have been used for the device itself. In the report, the Band 2 is believed to have a new functionality which can determine the elevation of users going upstairs or a hill.

According to Microsoft Insider, the Band 2 is now capable of measuring the “height of an exercise”, indicating a possible inclusion of an altimeter.
