The Micromax Canvas Spark 2 price and availability have been announced for India, and we’re here to give you the scoop on the specs… Meanwhile, the first registered sale will kick-off on September 23 at 10:00 a.m.
At such a low pricing, the Canvas Spark 2 comes with very basic specifications.
Spark 2, the company says, is the cheapest 3G smartphone from the company.
While the Canvas Spark 2 is an affordable 3G smartphone, it will face tough competition from the smartphones like Phicomm Energy 653, Yu Yunique and Lenovo A2010, all are 4G LTE-equipped smartphones that cost just more Rs 1,000 compared to spark 2.
The Canvas Spark 2 is Google certified, runs on Android Lollipop that allows the users to access full suite of Google apps. Under the hood, there is a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek processor along with 4GB internal storage and a microSD card support for expansion up to 32GB.
This phone also comes pre-loaded with some more applications such as Scandid, Kindle, Hotstar, Clean Master, Swiftkey, Snapdeal as well as few games.
Even if Android 6.0 Marshmallow is just around the corner, it’s still not a bad idea to purchase a smartphone with Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box. This phone supports 10 languages and comes with Firstouch language solution, which enable users to click pictures, search their contacts and enjoy their favorite playlist directly from the home screen in the language of their choice. It flaunts a 5-inch FWVGA (854×480 pixels) IPS display.
Micromax also throws in a 5MP rear camera plus a 2MP frontal sensor.
The launch of Micromax Canvas Spark 2 is yet another attempt to break price barriers for driving smartphone adoption in India and empowering the average Indian consumer with smartphone and mobile Internet access.
The Canvas Spark 2 will be available in Black and will come with a set of accessories including a charger, data cable, earphones and a screen protector.
