Five people were found dead in a home on the 2600 block of Nob Hill Court after someone called authorities to check on the people inside, police said Saturday. They said he is known to drive a red 2000 Lincoln Navigator with the California license of 7CNN611.
Detectives will be at the scene for some time, police say.
It is not clear how Martinez is connected to the murder of the five people found dead inside the home on Nob Hill Court.
It all started when Modesto police got a call from someone asking them do a routine welfare check at the home.
Modesto police discovered the victims Saturday afternoon after they went to the home in a tree-lined neighborhood to conduct a welfare check, the Modesto Bee reported. Police said they are treating the deaths as homicide, but the manner of death was not released.
Police identified Martin Martinez, 30, of Modesto as the person of interest.
