If you’re in Seattle right now and in need of an Uber, you might be lucky enough to be chauffeured by your very own War Boy.
Uber has teamed up with Mad Max to give some particularly insane auto rides to people in Seattle, according to The Verge.
The free “Mad Max” ride in Seattle is part of Uber’s campaign in partnership with Warner Brothers. The driver-on-demand app Uber is running a promotion with the new Mad Max video game that puts passengers inside post-apocalyptic-inspired vehicles.
It all began on Friday, August 28, and it comes to an end today, August 31, but Uber users in the area have been posting photos of their badass rides.
“The Wasteland is vast and gas is precious-the Warboys must remain near their Stronghold”, Uber says in its release, noting the reasons for the geographic limitations.
The Mad Max rip-offs might not be too spiky or insanely wasteland-worthy vehicles, but they certainly are real warboys and not mere ordinary cars outfitted with decals and stickers. It just so happened to coincide with the PAX Prime gaming convention in town. Your Warboy will let you know how many riders (1, 3, or 4) he can keep safe from marauders.
