But the larger variant of the same sports all different specs, the 10.1-inch display of WUXGA (1920 x 1200) resolution and a pixel density of 224ppi. The G Pad II 10.1 comes pre-loaded with Microsoft Office for Android Tablet and an additional 100GB of free OneDrive storage for two years.
The LG G Pad II 10.1 is backed by a 7400mAh battery, measures 254.3×161.1×7.8mm, and weighs 489 grams.
South Korean mobile communications company LG Electronics (LG) will be unveiling an advanced model of its G Pad II-tablet series at IFA 2015 in Berlin. There’s also the seemingly now-standard features, including Dual Window, which lets users run two apps side-by-side.
It comes powered by a Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor clocked at 2.26GHz coupled with Adreno 330 GPU and 2GB of RAM.
There is 5MP rear camera as well as a 2MP front facing camera on board with 16GB of internal storage and has a memory card slot for expansion. The device offers connectivity features like 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, GPS/A-GPS, Bluetooth 4.1 and microUSB 2.0.
LG said that the device, developed following customer feedback and optimized for multimedia consumption, also features a slim and sleek design with the slimmest bezel among similar-sized tablets now on the market, with a soft metallic-finish. This tablet will be available in Wi-Fi and LTE versions.
Unfortunately, this larger tablet doesn’t appear to have a full-size USB port like the G Pad II 8.0 does, which is interesting. The company is likely to reveal pricing and exact availability of the tablet locally at the time of launch.
The device runs on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop out-of-the-box. The Life’s Good crew does plan to show the G Pad II 10.1 at IFA next month, though, so we’ll get to spend some hands-on time with the new slate before its release.
