Leaked! Tech specs of Huawei Nexus 6 smartphone

LG has already collaborated with Google to work on the Nexus series in the past, so we obviously have great expectations from this device.

The 2015 Google Nexus 5 is expected to hit the shelves before the year ends bringing with it Android Pay’s debut to battle it out well-known services like Apple Pay and Samsung Pay. Although, most of the details are still classified as rumors, it does seem fair enough to assume that one is being made by LG and the other by Huawei. Rumors in May suggested that Google was working with partners Huawei and LG to produce two new Nexus phones – a 5.7-inch Huawei device, and a 5.2-inch model with the Korean manufacturer.

The Huawei Nexus render shown in the video is based off of device schematics given to accessory makers, and so the colors and materials shown are speculation.

Last night’s high resolution render of what the LG Nexus 5 2015 may look like has been joined tonight by a render of what the Huawei Nexus could look like.

Huawei’s Nexus phone should be a bit narrower (78.3mm vs. 83mm), making it feel more like an iPhone 6 Plus. The device will apparently have a metal body, front-facing speakers, rear-mounted fingerprint reader, and USB Type C. We can also see from the renders that the device will sport a USB Type-C port, which shouldn’t come as a surprise.

The handset in the following set of images features a protruding camera on the back.

In addition, the second handset would be a phablet would allegedly be called the Huawei Nexus. This is said to be a larger 5.7-inch handset, again has the fingerprint scanner on the rear and it appears to have a metal build, similar to previous devices we’ve seen from the Chinese company.

The phone is also expected to have a massive battery, wireless charging and a 21-megapixel camera on the back.

Thankfully, several reliable sources have gotten their hands on insider information regarding the smartphones and by the looks of it, Google’s soon-to-be released product would be revolutionary for the Nexus brand.
