Lava worldwide Ltd., a leading Indian mobile handset company, has launched Pixel V2, a smartphone that comes with superior photography features. The smartphone is the second product in their Pixel series.

Lava is talking up the camera functionality so much that it has even paired up with fashion photographer Subi Samuel. Operating system aside, the rest of the Lava Pixel V2 specs are nice for the price.

Anyway, the new Lava device comes with a 5-inch 720p HD monitor which is 0.5 inches smaller than that of its predecessor’s.

At 128 gms, it is one of the lightest devices available in the market today having a 5 inch screen size. The smartphone is powered by a 64 bit MediaTek quad core processor and 2GB DDR3 RAM. The smartphone offers 16GB of onboard storage with a microSD card slot for further expansion up to 32GB. This handset will run Star OS 2.0, which is the company’s forked version of Android based on Android 5.1 Lollipop. It packs a 2500 mAh Li-Po battery. IPS display with full lamination further improves the viewing angles. The cameras are bundled with software features like GIF maker, face beauty, wide-angle Selfie and pic focus among others.

Commenting on the launch Navin Chawla, Senior Vice President and Head Product, LAVA global said, “The smartphone segment in India is growing exponentially, driven primarily by youth. With this, we aim to build a strong portfolio of smartphones and deliver on our mission of empowering people to do more”.

The Lava Pixel V2 is reportedly being sold via offline channels right now, while its online arrival has been dated for September 15. Only thing we need is the right device to capture them. This will allow enhanced light intake per pixel helping in capturing brighter, clearer images with great detail.
