A White House representative has responded to Kanye West’s suggestion he will run for USA president in 2020 during a lengthy speech at the MTV Video Music Awards yesterday (Sunday United States time).

Well, now everything makes sense. According to producers of the annual award show, when accepting his lifetime achievement award, the “All Day” rapper was actually expected to perform a medley of hit.

His impromptu speech came after he contemplated on the controversial 2009 event when he took the microphone from the “Bad Blood” singer and VMA award victor Taylor Swift.

Of course he has.

Kanye made the surprising announcement last night where he spoke at length – because he’s Kanye – about his art, being high and becoming president.

“Justin, I ain’t trying to put you on blast but I saw that man in tears, bro”. The first time was when I was a senator and he was with his mom and he had just gotten big.

“I have been a fan of his since I can remember because Kanye defines what it is to be a creative force in music, fashion, and well, life”, said 24-year-old Swift. That they can stand up for themselves. “If I had a daughter, would I have gone on stage and grabbed the mic from someone else’s?”

After his declaration, the Democrat’s official twitter account “welcomed” West in politics. “I knocked the edge off”. Kanye went on to say, ” I’m not no politician bruh”.

And now we have the official word from MTV itself: They’ve confirmed that the feud was real and unplanned.

A statement from the PTC reads: “MTV’s award shows are known for carefully orchestrated controversy and shock value, even though the program is marketed to impressionable young viewers”.
